Thame Historical Society was formed to bring together people who are interested in all aspects of history, especially Thame and the local area.  The Society was initially set up in the latter part of the 1970s and became properly established in 1985.

There are eleven meetings of the Thame Historical Society each year.  These are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 7.30pm in The Barns Centre, Church Road.  The Annual General Meeting of the Society is held on the first Tuesday of December. The AGM is followed by a social event and is very popular. Here is the schedule of meetings for 2024.

Thame Historical Society has some 150 members.  New members are always welcome.  The cost of annual membership is £10 and visitors to evening meetings are asked for a donation of £2. If you would like to join the Society, please complete a membership application form that you can find here.

So please come along and join in the activities of the Society.  The emphasis is always on an enjoyable evening which will be of interest to a wide range of local residents.  We hope to see you there soon.
